Position: Project Manager & Estimator – Renovations
CB Construction Group, Inc. is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our growing team and facilitate in meeting the needs of our expanding client base. The ideal applicant will have at least X year of project management and estimation experience, preferably related to interior hospitality and/or commercial renovations. The candidate will take part in all aspects of a project, including scope of work development, project estimation, planning, pre-construction, construction, close out, and post follow- up. The Project Manager will ensure the scope is meticulously executed and quality is consistently maintained. The candidate will be able to thrive in high pressure environments while utilizing the utmost level of problem solving. They will effectively manage relationships with owners, owner representatives, subcontractors, vendors, employees and support staff.
This position is based either out of our Schaumburg, IL or Boca Raton, FL office locations, however Orlando, FL will also be considered.
Responsibilities:
• Complete project execution and accountability, from initial estimate to close-out.
• Ability to estimate projects through site verifications, drawings, and scope reviews.
• Defining and qualifying bids with subcontractors, vendors, and in-house pricing.
• Proficient in planning, developing, and managing project schedules though project lifecycles.
• Ability to read plans, perform take offs, and foresee issues.
• Deep understanding of critical path development.
• Experience in high levels of client management.
• Proficiency with all AIA documents, RFIs, and submittals.
• Manage change orders and change order logs with in-field management and ownership.
• Work with purchasing (Procurement/Project Coordinator) to acquire materials, manage takeoffs, and identify value engineering (VE) strategies to improve bids at lower costs and market changes.
• Ability to run and manage on-going and final punch lists with superintendents and field management.
• Manage all aspects of project close out including final budget analysis, change order closeout, and on-site project completion checklist.
• Manage subcontractor and vendor relations from pre-construction and project kick-off through project close-out, utilizing cohesive schedules and daily task lists.
